Thread: i have 256mb ddr 400 pqi and 1gb ddr 400 samsung, i installed both rams but computer

recognizes only 1gb ddr? the computer does not support dual channel memory
1. the computer does not support dual channel memory.
2. i have two sockets. i have already done switching the two rams in the two sockets but still the computer recognizes the samsung ram.

3. i followed other processes but still in vain, such as installing the 1gb ram on the first socket, then reboot, shutdown and then install the 256mb ram on the second socket.
