    How do i connect my laptop to my samsung HDTV?

    my samsung LCD tv model is LA40F71B

    I have vga cable containing 15 pins. vga port is availble on LCd as well as on my laptop.

    after connecting when i press source on remote control nothing happen. what procedure do i have to adopt in order to make it work out.i mean what commands do i have to give to the laptop or LCD? please i need a deatil procedure and step by step guidance.

    Check your laptop and look for an HDMI port. If it has one, get an HDMI cable and connect it to the respective port on your tv. It should solve your problems. If it doesn't, try lower the screen resolution on your laptop, it may be trying to emit too high of a resolution. And go all the way up to the highest resolution because if that's not working, it could be the opposite. Hope that helps.

    Check the cords on each until you find one that matches up. Then buy that cord plug in and enjoy.
