How can I silence the camera/video camera on my Samsung GS3?

I have a samsung galaxy S III with Sprint. Even when on silent mode, the shutter noises still go off and are very loud. It's really annoying. Are there any apps or solutions for this? Thanks!

In the camera app itself under Settings (gear icon) is there a "Shutter sound" setting? Mine has that, but it is a T-Mobile S III.

You can get a separate camera app with a silent shutter, such as the ones linked in my sources. The reason your shutter and camcorder still make a sound is that in some places it is now illegal to have a silent camera, because of voyeurism and illegal photography, etc.
What I do, personally, is turn it off manually. I have a rooted phone. If your SGS3 is rooted, use your root file explorer (if you don't have one, get Root Browser from the Play Store) and navigate to [ROOT] > System > Media > Audio > UI. Then rename the files called "camera_click.ogg," etc and put a ".off" at the end. For example "camera_focus.ogg.off"
Note that that only works on a ROOTED android device.
