Can I Have Prepaid Rogers on 1st Generation iPhone?

Hello Awnsers world.. im having a little trouble here and im hoping u guys can help me

, I have a rogers sim card and its on pay as you go and I was wondering if I can slip it into a first generation iPhone and be able to use it as a phone
