Buying a ringtune from rogers?

I want to buy a ringtune for my Motorola Rokr E8 and when i went on rogers, i chose the ringtone i wanted, and when i clicked "buy" it said please choose your phone, and my phone wasn't up there. If i choose a different phone, will it still work?
