need help downloading free ringtones?

I have tried ventones but have been unsuccessful. i have a samsung rant sprint phone. i am apparently doing something wrong because i can't get ringtone. Would someone please give me advise and/or step by step instructions on how to get different ringtones without using internet on my phone?
