LG TU515 ringtone issue?

I've just bought an LG TU515 but have had some trouble trying to put my own ring tone on it. The phones current ring tones (which are shit), are all in .mp3 format so I transferred a song in .mp3 to the phone, only to be told that the file is too large to use as a ringtone?

So I cut the MP3 down to only the first twenty seconds which is less than some of the current ringtones, but it still wont let me use my own ringtone. Can anyone help me here?
