how do you download ringtones to your cell phone?

i have a katana eclipse cell and i dont know how to download ringtones from the pc into the mobile.
could you please help me?
when i plug in the memory card tehre are three options: music, pictures, and voice
i tried downloading the ringtones to the music but it just saves them as songs..

help..
