2gb ram at least for vista and games
EVGA 8800gt superclocked

Intel E6750 or Q6600 processor and at least a 500watt power supply. Then pick a decent motherboard.Get a hard drive with enough space for you and a case with good airflow. The 3 most important things for a gaming computer are processor video card and ram. Motherboard and hard drive are secondary.
Don't get prebuilt it's a rip. if you are good with computer build it your self or get it custom built by a computer store or a custom gaming computer website like www.cyberpowerpc.com.
