Does Anyone Remember the Mid-Air Collision that occurred on New Year's Eve...
...perhaps in 92 0r 93? It involved perhaps a KC-135 and a bomber aircraft. It occurred somewhere in the NW part of the U.S. maybe over ID or MT. I can't find any info on it anywhere on the web. Both crews and aircraft were lost.
The crash was also significant because it occurred just hours before the USLI benefit was to double on Jan 1st. I believe the govt anted up for the families. Why isn't this on the web? It was a major incident!
This was a USAF military incident.
And it happened on Dec 31st. I can't understand why this incident is so difficult to research. It was HUGE news at the time and I remember it well.
