I never buy ringtones, just create short .m4a files and rename them to .m4r and voila! You get free ringtones.
I don't want to upgrade to iTunes 10.5 if it means losing this option.
Does anyone know if you still can???

hi. you can still do it. i tried it yesterday. however, in order to see the option of "create aac version" u have to go Edit -> Preferences -> General, then choose "import settings" then choose "aac encoder" then click OK. good luck.
