I have to dunk in the Slam Dunk Contest and not in the game.
I can beat the all-star level in the real game.

I can't even dunk once in the Slam Dunk COntest though.

you have to time it right

start out on the lowest level which I think is rookie and work on timing

move it up a level if it seems as if you mastered it

you have to do tricks that make sense this is not street hoops so u have to do a trick that can get them to the goal and they get under they will dunk
