Ok, so conservative religious people are always b*tching about how homosexuality is a "choice" or that it is proven that it can be "cured." (*Cough* Sarah Palin) So they argue sexual orientation should not be protected under the law, because homosexuality is a "lifestyle choice." Well one thing's for sure: religion is 100% choice, so I don't get why they're protected. I'm not saying let's take out religion from the hate crime laws, but if they have religion in there they should put sexual orientation and gender identity in there also, or they should take religion out. I don't think they even have gender in there, and that's pretty bad, if they have religion in there and not even gender.
