Well, I am his daughter because I try to live my life walking in the spirit and honoring all the things that Christ commands; I want to do my Christian duty by loving my Father in Heaven, do good to others, love mercy and love my neighbor as myself....Sometimes I feel that the weigh of this world falls down so very hard on my shoulders but Jesus reminds me in his word that he has overcame the pressures of this world, which is what I am suppose to do, and that he will not put so much upon me that I cannot bare.....He also tells me that God discipline his Children just like the loving Father that he is because he has to make me strong and be able to endure because "ENDURANCE gives me character, so I trust that GOD knows exactly what GOD is doing....Afterall, he loved me so much that he gave his only begotten son to come to this earth and sacrifice his life for a sinner like me, so I am thankful that Christ Jesus shedded his blood on a hill called calvalry, just to save a sinner like me...I sometimes think to myself, "How can I ever repay Christ for laying down his life for me?"...I show my gratitude by doing my Christian duty in serving God with my times and my talents with the gifts that he has given to me....God is an Awesome God and Jesus demonstrated to us how we should live to please our Father in Heaven...The love that Jesus had for us is so powerful that I sometimes wonder if I am able to stand up and be a good imitator of such a wonderful and loving man.....But, I can certainly try every day of my life and ask God to make me a better person than I was yesterday and everyday, just try a little harder to remove myself from the things in this world and realize that I have to live in this world, but I certainly do not have to be OF THIS WORLD...Walking in the Spiritual REALM and not in the FLESHY REALM is what we must do to be closer to Jesus....And, we must learn to love in it's entirety......God Bless.....
Isn't the terms Daughter of God, Sister of Christ???
Everyone is a Son or Daughter of God, they just have to choose to accept him into their lives. Purity, love, kindness, service, praise/worship/prayer are all good things. The most important thing is to make sure they know they are loved by God no matter what they have done or what has been done to them or what they may do in the future (cutting, rape, abuse, teased/teased others, had a good life/bad life, etc.). Make sure they know his love is unconditional and he has chosen them and wants them to choose him too. Tell them about God has helped you, maybe some struggles you have gone through, how you give back, what you do to show/live your faith everyday.
I haven't heard of that concept but the better term would be daughter of God. Jesus had no children, and the Bible doesn't speak of Him being a father. That privilege is reserved for God the Father Himself.
The problem is that son-ship in Bible times was more positional than biological. This means that a child, even if he or she was born to a legitimate family, wouldn't be any different than a slave. The child had to be formally adopted to receive the legal privileges of son-ship. Paul spoke of this in Galatians chapter 4.
So if you're writing for teen-age girls, some concepts would be the other side of this blessing: anyone, male or female, etc., would and could receive the same blessings and benefits by faith in Christ! God sees no difference in any aspect--just believers and nonbelievers.
Another is the need for girls to live pure and holy lives. We've all known of too many who play with the world and play with the church--and lose to both sides. Live right, ladies! Our Christian men will need to find wives and mothers for their children or else the Christian faith will pretty much die out! And don't let the world talk you into joining the party scene, the drug scene, "hooking up" or any of that stuff--it's not worth the price and hurt you're going to feel the rest of your lives.
And of course, they'll need some encouragement to keep on reading their Bibles. I wish you the best of success in reaching these young ladies, these priceless gifts for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
