Well technically a person who adheres to a set of established beliefs does in fact belong to that set of established beliefs ("religion"). So a person does belong to a religion. But if you made up your own, you could say your religion belongs to you.

i am a christian because without God there can be no hope for me or antbody eles. i dont think its possible to just think when people are dead there dead forever and that we can continue to be corrupt and perverse and still get the same fate as someone good my religion is the one and onlyt rue religion and without bad things there can be no compassion

I do want to follow the steps of my savior and knowing is hard sometimes, i still repent and go again. I love and show respect.

Well, I don't really belong to any particular religion, but I don't consider myself an atheist either.

I was baptized in the Catholic church but put into Christian schools from elementary school through high school. So I bought into the whole born-again Christian thing for a while. When I got to my 20s I gave up on church, after I realized that most organized religion (at least in Western Civilization) is based on once-wonderful ethics that people have just tainted.

I still "pray" for people that I love, and I reflect every day for what I am thankful for. But not to any particular god. And I don't believe in heaven or hell.

So I guess I belong to my own personal spirituality and that's it.
