For all of you who think that atheists are inherently unhappy, please consider the case of Denmark. Denmark was recently rated as the "happiest country on the planet". Did religion or lack of religion have anything to do with it? Evidently not. According to researchers, a variety of health care variables contributed most frequently to feelings of contentment and happiness.

So, for all of you who assume that atheism is somehow a corollary to unhappiness, think again. Religion or lack of religion really has nothing to do with people's contentment levels. And by the way, Denmark has the world's highest population of self-proclaimed atheists.

monkey_bizz: Can you show me the research? You make the claim, prove the worthiness of your claim with evidence. And please, the polls should be general, with sample sizes over 1000 people. And don't bother citing polls taken by a church whose sample population is only church goers. That's just like polling mice if the cat should be belled or not...

ljhj: It might, but the researchers didn't specify lack of religion had anything to do with happiness levels. However, I am sure they may have commented on it in their findings section. If they didn't, they should.
craigm: Subjective analysis. You are welcome to it...
