I wasn't raised a Christian so that's that assumption squashed - not every Christian was. Also I'd be less inclined to believe if there wasn't a hell because of the bad people in the world and because of sin itself - what would be the point? There'd never be a time for them to face up to what they had done so it is very good to me that there is a hell. Anyway the gospel has been preached in all corners of the globe - I doubt there isn't anyone who has not heard it so yes I'd still be a Christian - it's God who calls us
I was half-heartedly raised a half-assed Christian, mainly just Christianity was what we wrote under 'religion' on the census paper that's about it. I now believe in the Christian God, entirely of my own accord. The belief in Hell as a punishment for sins is fundamental to Christianity, but I don't believe in Hell as a place after death.
So I guess for the first critieria it is Yes but the second it is no, because you wouldn't even be a Christian if you didn't believe in Hell.
