Their religions were not organized such as world religions are now. Their spiritual belief was part of daily living, akin to Buddhist practice now where the religion IS how you live.

For more details you'd have to pick a tribe and study their specific beliefs and ways of life. There were not gods worshiped per se as much as great spirits to be honoured.
