Anti-gay Christians, did you know it's against my religion to deny gays the
right to marry? If you don't want the law to infringe on your religious practices, why are you ok with it infringing on mine?
Don't you believe in religious freedom?
mr bunnie: Nope, you'd be perfectly free to refuse to marry gays.
mr bunnie: Like I said, you'd be perfectly free to keep your marriage "traditional" (though your wife might complain about losing her separate legal identity, which is what traditional marriage was all about until the late 19th century)
Wolfblayde: How is it a "civil union" if gays have been married in the United Church of Christ, the Society of Friends (Quakers), the Metropolitan Community Church, the Unitarian Universalist Association, Buddhism, Paganism, or Satanism, all of whom support gay marriage?
I take it you wouldn't have a problem with any of those.
Wolfblayde, Cont'd:
shoestring_louise: Thank you for the compliment, but no, I'm not; I'm an American midwesterner.
