Why will people whine about their issues, but if you have an issue, they

tell you to grin and bear it? I have known many people in my life who called themselves my "friends." I always listened to their problems. Tried to console them. If I consoled them in the wrong way, they'd get upset, so I'd figure out exactly what they needed. YET, when I went to them with my problems, I'd get "suck it up!" or "grin and bear it!" or "Your problem really isn't that important. Try to relax!" What's with this double standard?

Because many people are selfish and you're not. You know how to sympathize and be a good friend. It's pretty rare these days I'd say...
