why are people on here complaining about not enough refineries?

and blaming enviromentalist for none being built, when every major refinery in the country has been through several expansions and are double the size they originaly were.
i know this first hand and have seen it with my own eyes because i helped build them and have plenty of work . marathon oil is expanding their garyville louisiana refinery and from their own words "Marathon has stated that they are essentially building a new refinery next door to the original one"
    http://www.hydrocarbons-technology.com/projects/garyvillerefinery/
valero energy refinery in beaumont tx has been expanded, marathon oil in st paul park minnesota has too,BP in texas city and toledo.there have been expansions in california, hawaii, arizona, the carolinas, florida, alabama, louisiana.

the refining capacity is there and there is no real need to build more refineries ,all we need to do is continue expanding.

    Yes.
    What Bull!!!!!

There are thousands of Old Oil Refineries that the Environmentalists have shut down.
But no New Ones being built.

Expanding is Good. (Don't let Al Gore know it.)

"all we need to do is continue expanding"

    Your words not mine.

Or we could just build a few new ones - then tear down a few of the old ones & rebuild newer cleaner and more efficient plants on the same site.

    Better all the way around
