Thread: Why is my chihuahua whining?

She's one year old, I have had her for almost the whole year, but this has just started. She seems healthy, she eats, drinks, pees, poops, sleeps, plays....but she has started this whining and she'll look at me like she's wanting something. If I pick her up and pet her or put a blanket on top of her, she stops...but will start again as soon as I put her down. I know this breed whines alot....but why is she just starting it now?? We have had a stray cat meowing on our front porch for several days now..I wonder if that's it? But she will whine even if the cat's not there. Is she just wanting constant attention? She's not cold..because she does it outside, too. Or could she be sick? Like I said, she doesn't act sick. Before I call the vet, I'd like some opinions on if this is normal behavior for chihuahuas.

My female chi is 20 months old and she just starred whining 3 days ago and I am worry.
