Could be that you startle him.
Do you keep your house quiet while he sleeps?
If he is use to a quiet atmosphere then he will startle easier.

He will eventually get use to the loud sounds the more you make noise around him.

I think it just startles him a little bit, Babies are really sensitive to noises and other things around them and when they feel a little uneasy they will cry.

Why does my baby scream when...?

My son is 10 weeks old and for the last 3/4 days, while I am feeding him(breastfeeding) if I talk a little louder he does a horrific scream. As soon as I stop or talk softer he seems to settle. I'm not a very loud person at all, and I don't shout when I feed him, just talk a little louder if my husband is in the hall way for example.
Can anyone see a reason why? as I say its only been happening for the last few days.

    Thanks!
The house is quite noisy in the day, as I've tried to keep it that way to make sure he has his day and night the right way round.

Some children are extra-sensative to moods and things around them. It sounds like he is becoming more aware of things around him and you talking is scaring him for whatever reason his mind comes up with. It should pass. My son does the same thing occasionally so just be as soft and quiet as you can.

He' probably not used to loud noises, but still you should talk to the doctor just to make sure he is doing okay=)

my baby daughter was the same, she is now 15 weeks old and is a lot better. i think when we talk loud they think that we are shouting at them and start crying and like you said they only do it when they are having their milk. this is because they are only concantrading on that and nothing else around them.he will change dont worry.
