Why does McCain give Hundreds of thousands of dollars to a "Terrorist", then...

...complain about him and Obama? Does he think we wouldn't find out the truth?

    http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/10/the-khalidi-gam.html

ABC News Reporter Jake Tapper writes:

In 1993, McCain became chairman of the International Republican Institute. He still chairs that respected organization.

That same year, Khalidi helped found the Center for Palestine Research and Studies, self-described as “an independent academic research and policy analysis institution” created to meet “the need for active Palestinian scholarship on issues related to Palestine.”

Khalidi was on the board of trustees through 1999.

According to tax returns the McCain-chaired IRI funded the organization Khalidi founded and served on to the tune of $448,873 in 1998 and to the tune of $389,621 in 1999 as first reported by Seth Couter Walls.

The IRI continued to give money to the CPRS after Khalidi left the group as well.

Guess I'm missing your point, all politicians head up and chair some organization or other that then gives money to yet another organization w/o their knowledge. Besides which, if you are looking to promote peace in the middle east you probably want to figure out what to do w/ the Palestinian debacle That certainly has little resemblance to Obama and William Aries and how Aires remains unapologetic today for his actions back then. I don't believe everything this country does is great but I'm not willing to assassinate my own fellow citizens to improve other country's citizens lives.

In regards to Khalidi, the guilt-by-association game burns John McCain as well. During the 1990s, while he served as chairman of the International Republican Institute (IRI), McCain distributed several grants to the Palestinian research center co-founded by Khalidi, including one worth half a million dollars. A 1998 tax filing for the McCain-led group shows a $448,873 grant to Khalidi's Center for Palestine Research and Studies for work in the West Bank. (The relationship extends back as far as 1993, when John McCain joined IRI as chairman in January. Foreign Affairs noted in September of that year that IRI had helped fund several extensive studies in Palestine run by Khalidi's group, including over 30 public opinion polls and a study of "sociopolitical attitudes." And McCain's complaint is what? Looks like McCain is digging his hole deeper by the day.

Because McCain is a hypocrite - more concerned with getting himself elected to the White House than with what is good for the country. .

Nice try, but McCain doesn't get to independently determine who the IRI gives funds to for research.

And McCain wasn't FRIENDS with this RADICAL, as Obama was.

I mean seriously how many RADICAL friends does Obama have???

We already know that McSame has a short memory. Now it's becoming selective too. Just what we need to lead our country.

Because he will do and say anything to win. If he can just keep the fear tactics up he thinks it will be enough. Does he think people are stupid... Yes. I think he and Palin have made that clear throughout their campaign.
