Thread: Why do people these days complain that kids don't play outside?

I never play outside, I don't want to get dirty or get wet if it rains, kids these days now have the mall and msn and texts, we don't need to play out anymore, why can't you move with the times?

I don't care if kids in the 1900's 1910's, 1920's, 1930's, 1940's, 1950's, 1960's, 1970's 1980's and 1990's did, that was then, this is now! Get hip!

All these kids who are not exposed to the natural environment are going to get sick easier and not build up resistances to natural things... Go out and play with the dog... go play in the dirt... go explore the woods!

Your skin needs sunshine, and your muscles need a workout everyday to obtain optimum health. Look at increase of obesity among young teenagers, in that past that was rare, now it is the norm.

You sound like your pretending to be kid.

I don't complain about this, but even as an adult I get out so I can stay in shape. I play with my daughter in the sunshine, water and snow, it's fun and healthy.

Just so you know, you can get dirty and wet inside, too. It's very easy to get clean and dry again.
