Why do atheists and Christians always argue and fight with each other?

Is it because they are both always in defense of something that is not true?

it's because both parties want an outcome out of their argument, they want too see who's right and who's wrong. In the eyes of God, neither are right because Christians are wasting their time trying to beat the typical atheist with their intellect, atheist are trying to bring down the christian with their atheistic intellect, i'm a neutral christian, i feel that Christians should be preach the gospel to the lost souls instead of fighting with the atheist
