Where are the Air Intake Vents on a M4 Medium Tank, where are best & worst places to

mount engine air intake.? I suppose it would depend on the tank, I know the Crusader Tank performed poorly in the Desert not just from reliability problems but from the Engine air intakes which are mounted on the rear sides which was apparently the worst place to mount them for the desert conditions. The KV1 Tank's engine air intakes look like funnel shaped vents on the deck of a ship. The AC1 to AC4 Sentinel Tanks had a wierd side air intake and without it's track guard and toolbox it's clearly visable, It also helped to protect the turret ring from the sides. Here's an image of an AC4 Experimental 1 Tank showing the air intake on one side.
