What is the squeaking or whining noise coming from the steering wheel on...

...a 1994 Honda Oddessey? The 1994 Honda Oddessey that I am driving just started making a light squeaking or whining noise this morning. It happens occassionally when I turn the wheel to the left and right. It sounds like its coming from the actual steering wheel (not under the hood). What could this be? It was cold this morning...could that be a contributor? Can I just spray some lubricant to fix this? If so what kind of lubricant and where exactly do I spray? Thanks!!!

    Clock spring going bad.
A clock spring is what keeps the electrical connections to the steering wheel.
Do not put a lubricant into your steering wheel with electrical connections.

    Good Luck!
