significant other? Arguments are a natural part of a relationship with a significant other. It is inevitable that they happen and it is naive to expect to never argue. Often times, arguments turn into something uglier than the original argument and do more damage than necessary.

So... how do you have a proper and respectful argument? How about some DOs and DON'Ts to remember?

I'd also like to know why when two people are arguing, one brings up something that has NO bearing on the subject at hand (like something someone did in the past)? And why do people resort to character assassination when arguing?
