today after a hearing test i was told that my two year old son has little/no hearing. i have been taking him to the doctors for the past year as i thought he may have hearing loss. my doctor always told me that he is just a slow developer and not to worry, i knew that something was wrong and took him back for a second third and fourth opinion... the fourth time i went i was told practically not to go back again about it! i knew their was either a problem with his speech or his hearing but nobody took me seriously. there was no way i was giving up and saved up and took him to a private hearing specialist, where they told me that by the time he is five he will be completely deaf.
should i complain about this?

and also how am i going to cope with this? the specialist gave me some makaton signs but that's about it? where do i go from here? has any one else brought up a child with a hearing impairment? have any tips please?
