Why do people argue that Private Health insurance companies like...

...Obamacare which is "bad". Yet others argue? That Obamacare will eliminate Private health insurance companies through competition.

I've heard both of these and they seem to contradict, so I'm thinking both can't be true, or are they??

The government public "option" will put private companies out of business. It will be sold 10% less than the private companies. Subsidized by tax dollars to allow it to operate at a loss(private companies can't do this). It will hold private insurance to standards that it doesn't have to follow.
The few private companies left standing will be very expensive and cater to the social elite. They will get great care, the rest of us will get the scraps that are left over.

Obama Care will eliminate private insurance. Everyone's taxes will be much higher to pay for it and then the government will decide who gets healthcare and who doesn't. Trust me...you don't want the government deciding if and when you and your loved ones get healthcare.

Looks like people would rather believe what they hear from Rush and Hannity. What we have right now is exactly what they are saying will happen with a public option. The system as it stands is broken. For profit health insurance companies are deciding your care, not your doctor. Under a single payer system, which is what we shoud be doing, the doctors can actually treat patients. You will get the right care, not only what the insurance company will pay for. Care is rationed now so the insurance companies can pay their shareholders and not your healthcare. Do you think that is right? I am sick of the propoganda, it does nothing but hurt everyone.
