for money back? I'm selling an old work truck tomorrow. I was approached about selling it just out of the blue, and since it doesn't run anymore I agreed to a low price (under 300). The truck has had a lot of work done, but we've bought a new one so we just didn't fix it the last time it broke down.
I told the people that it doesn't start, and they still wanted to buy it. So I wrote up a bill of sale saying: Vehicle is being sold as-is, with no warranties.
The couple doesn't speak very good English so I'm a little worried they'll call me back claiming I took advantage of them, which I'm not, I told them what I think is wrong with the car (but I'm not a mechanic so I don't know for sure). Is there anything else I should do to or write on the bill of sale to insure they can't come back and try to sue me if something else is wrong other than what I told them I knew about (or assumed was wrong with it)?
I can't really get around selling it at my house since the truck doesn't run...and they are bringing a trailer to pick it up.
Also, should I put something on the form indicating that I don't know what's wrong with the car?
