"I got your hope and change" just to clarify, it's not my analogy, it's the genius Paul Begala's (a fairly moderate and pragmatic analyst, by the way) and no I don't work for him, but the analogy really did ring true to me, so I thought I'd share it for discussion, along with my normal "Bush and Cheney executed?" question

Bailing out AIG and other bad businesses isn't good precedents to leave behind. Also if this doesn't work, god forbid, we aren't going to get another shot at it for a long time.

That's an apt analogy except for the arson. I do not think the republicans deliberately destroyed the economy though their policies made it easy.
