Need help identifying a dryer vent part. What do you call the adapter that goes

from a 4" circle to a 5" oval? My daughter just bought a new house. I tried to install her old dryer. The vent out the back of the dryer is a 4" circle. The hole in the wall is a 5" oval. I'm sure someone makes that reducer but I cannot find anyone who has one. (hardware stores, plumbing suppliers, appliance stores). What is it called? Do you know who makes it?

why not ask the BUILDER? he/she had a reason for putting in that odd size 5 inch oval. you might end up replacing that 5 incher to a regular 4 inch circle. you might want to consider doing that.
that's what i would do if i couldn't find the proper feeder vent line.
    good luck to ya
