My vent free gas logs start just fine, but only stay lit about 3 minutes, before...

...just going out.? The pilot light stays on fine unless I try to actually light the fire place. Ant Ideas as to what it might be?

Are you sure the gas line is open all the way? Is this the first time you have lit them this season? If so, the valve may be partly closed.

Have you vacuumed the little holes in the pipe? They get clogged. You should do this each year before you use them.

Just a couple of thoughts. I'm not an expert, just a homeowner.

these thing have an oxygen sensor, & a thermal coupling. I would vacuum everything & make sure your thermal coupling is clean. spider webs blocking air flow may be enough to cause an oxy sensor to shut down.
