My car air vent is warm even when temp dial to cold?

i got this 97 acura/honda integra, summer is comming and i slide the temp control to the left but the air comming from the vent is still abit warm, not HOT HOT but significantly warmer than the outside air tempreture. and i check the heater tap it's fully closed.

is that normal? or is there a leak at the heater tap? because it's destorying the effect of my air conditioning!

Check your compressor. It may have gone out or may need a new charge of Freon.

These vents are controlled by a vacuum hose hooked to the back, some have a cable that runs to under the hood and controlls a cutoff valve which is inline with a heater hose. Check the valve under the hood to make sure it is closing, if you have that valve, if not check the hoses on the temp/heater/ac control panel
