If you were to scream on the moon, would the person a few feet away hear you?

I know there is no oxygen on the moon, but are there other gases that would transmit sound vibrations?

Also assuming you didnt need a space suit.

No. The moon has virtually no atmosphere so the sound waves won't travel.

No, Sound waves require medium which is absent there.

Not only would they not hear you, but screaming would be impossible.

The atmosphere of the Moon is so thin that it would be of insufficient density to cause your vocal cords to oscillate (that being how we generate a scream).

No, not a single person would hear you, there's no air in space so without air there is no vibration, without vibration that means no sound waves so there is no Sound. Anything heard in space in movies is all false. There is no sound in space at all.

The Moon has no atmosphere so there is nothing to
transfer the sound waves created by a person.
No atmosphere means there is nothing in the space
from the surface upwards, no air, no gas, nothing
because the gravity of the Moon is too weak to retain
to hold any gas coming from anywhere.
