I recently adopted a dog from the pound. She whines/cries & jumps on me when I come

home. Why does she do this? I adopted her last week. After the initial trauma and stress from being in the pound for two weeks, she started warming up nicely. But now, I will leave for a while and she's fine, but when I get home she has this high pitched whine, seems stressed, and jumps on me. It feels like reverse separation anxiety, if there is such a thing. I ignore the behavior until she settles down, but it seems like its getting worse. She's very needy. And I do take her for walks everyday. I'm not sure if this matters, but she is a Shiba Inu mix.
