Thread: I have a Jack russell Terrier who whines all the time?

He whines to come in the door , he whines if he is shut out and ohmg he whines in the car, I got him when he was 4yrs old and first owner has spoil t him rotten, which I don't do as we already had another dog who by the way doesn't have this or any problems. Have tried many Ideas and I'm running low on patience Help!!!

He gets lots and lots of attention but still whines and has forgotten his old owner , he plays with the cat and the other dog, he is always walked and he gets treats from the kids but still he whines

You answered your own question. He's craving the attention he's been used to and you're not willing to give it. Dogs have emotional needs, too, just like humans. If you can't or won't give him the emotional support he needs, give him to an no-kill rescue shelter. I'm sure they can find someone who has the time to give him the emotional reinforcement he's craving.
