Thread: I am for animal testing. Can someone please argue against?

Its a cless assignment. All opinions are welcome please feel free to argue strongly I need to understand how people feel about it with reasons to help myself come to a conclusion.

there would be many human volunteers who would like to be tested on, instead of animals.

why test shampoo on animals when its not for them, surely we have both got different reactions

Every animal (including human) has rights. Because you cant get permission of the animals its going against there rights.

It is kinder to test animals than humans.

Anti: Why should we test beauty products on animals just for us to look good etc. Why put animals through pain for our advancement?

Pro: Without animal testing most medical drugs/cancer treatments wouldn't have been developed as fast/at all. The animals tested on have never seen the wild, they are bred and reared for one purpose, testing.
