How do you punish the 10 yr old who hits, screams, yells, throws things and

makes a fuss? I mean can I actually parent and discipline or do I need help making that decision? Should giving birth mean we should actually parent our children? What if they grow up and hate us for being parents and saying no?

Watchmen I will marry you. But my husband doesnt share his beer so you have to buy your own.

Why do you associate parenting with punishing?

Aren't you at all curious about this new person who reacts to their world differently?

no you don't punish you must sit them down and talk about their feelings and hear all the ways you have made their lives miserable and all the things that we as parents did to the child. then we must apologize for our shortcomings and then if we can vow to do better next time, maybe the child will let us buy them ice cream. its always the parents fault you know.

Yes you need to be a parent. If they hate you for being a parent then so be it. You need to teach them right from wrong at an early age and build on that their entire life. You need to teach them respect and you need to respect them. I have never had one of my kids act like this or say that they hate me. They are 18, almost 15 and 12. If you cannot be a parent, do not make children.
