first off trust me on this you dont want to go about this by complaining to the dealership.
go the the service department approach the service writer in a pleasent manner tell them why you brought your car in, find out if its covered by your insuranse, if not ask if theres a recall on it. if not ask how to go about fixing the paint. (if you go in a shop complaining about how its crap and we have to fix it, were either going to bill you something outragous or turn down the job and tell you not are problem)
well, general motors would refer you to their pontiac division, which doesnt exist. after you point that out to them, you will be able to hear the shrug over the phone. you can complian, but they wont listen.
Back in '87, my Chevy Monte Carlo was doing the same thing, and I found out there was a "secret" warranty that covered paint problems. Well, my claim was denied, and THAT, combined with GM's idea to build FWD cars, caused me to never buy another Chevy after 25 years of buying them.
Anyway, check to see if there is a secret warranty for YOUR car. GOOGLE it.
Visit your dealer, there may be a "re-call". GM has had lots of paint problems over the years.
So much for all that ballyhoo about new found quality at Government Motors.Talk to the dealer first - if you get no action call GM customer service . I quit buying Gm back in '96 when i had a lemon that was in the shop every two weeks.
