I have an Audi A3 from 2006 that has about 75,000 miles on it-I drive ALOT- and it is making a high pitched noise. It only does this after the car is warm, and when I don't have my foot on the gas. What are the possibilities, and how much do they cost?

like a whistling vacuum leak? or like a rotating pulley squeal?
fast and repeditive or constant?
when i have an unknown noise from under my hood i use a stethiscope made for finding sounds on engines... they are cheap and easy to use...
