Thread: Ever heard this one about complaining to God?

A person was dieing of cancer. They were in a real lot of pain and depression. In anger the person raised their fist in the air and yelled at God "Why didn't you send someone that could cure cancer?" Just then a bright light filled the room and a voice said "I did-but they aborted him"
For many of you that have answered and have doubted Gods knowledge and love: It's called free will. God gave the woman free will to abort or not to abort. Do you really think that God approves of abortion? I should hope not !
God is the author of life,. Know anybody that has lived forever? No? The key word there is "lived"

If God took full control of your life (not just on the subject of abortion) you'd never have a chance to do things on your own accord. You'd be about like a robot. We DO have free will. Regardless if our free will is right or wrong--we do have free will.

If this was really true, then it paints a picture of a really mean God, because lets face it, if he has that much power, I am pretty sure he could cause even indirect events to get that researcher born, educated and happening.

To be God, to know he sent someone able, and then let that someone die in an abortion is a cop out, and pretty much a sick sense of humor. Maybe humans are more in God's image than we think, with a cute little evil sense humor to boot...

Then God - who is apparently omniscient - totally dropped the ball on that one, didn't it?

In the version I heard, the person dying of cancer then asked: "Couldn't you have CHOSEN to intervene, or were you FORCED to allow both abortion AND cancer?"

Then the voice of "God" was silenced, as if it never truly spoke in the first place...

Who's "they"? God himself? If god were real he aborts babies every day - women have spontaneous miscarriages all the time.

Ooh, "a bright light"! I never met a talking bright light before and I'll bet I never do. Are you distracted by shiny objects, too?
