I personally have never heard of this, but it seems within the realm of possibility. I would think in order to do damage though you'd have to strain your vocal cords daily for a prolonged period of time... I'm curious to know what in the world would cause you to do this?
People's voices do change to some extent as they age, so this might be a cause as well. Another cause for less than average range might also be NOT using your cords as much and another reason could be something physically wrong with them... I would recommend talking to your primary care doctor and asking him what he/she thinks, if this continues to cause you reason for concern.
yes you do. my bestfriend did that. she has strained vocal chords now and cant sing at allllll.
she loses her voice like everyday
and has something, i forget what on her throat
