Obama is a socialist. He wants to take money from hard working people. McCain is a capitalist. This country was based on capitalist beliefs.
Obama bases his campaign on what is wrong with the country. I am just dumbfounded that so many cheer his rant that corporations are bad, free trade is detrimental to the economy, people cannot be trusted to make responsible decisions, and that generally everything needs to change. This is the premise of his candidacy - the system is broken, and he can fix it. The system - that allowed him to succeed and be in a position to be President, that has allowed more people greater access to the means and luxuries than at any other time in history, that has produced the greatest economic prosperity for the greatest amount of people throughout the world, and that has kept the vast majority of people in a very comfortable life. Obama insists that this country falling apart. It isn't.

Why do so many find it comforting that things are this bad? They have to, after all, if one is to believe that Barrack Hussein Obama can fix it, all of it. People believe that things are utterly falling apart around them because Mr. Obama has created a culprit, a villain, that is the "other" in argument. It isn't your fault that you lost your home; it's the evil mortgage companies and lenders that have taken it from you. It isn't your fault that gasoline prices have sky rocketed, it's the wretched oil companies conspiring against you. It isn't your fault that your community is collapsing; it's the political insiders and their cronies. It's not your fault, it's their fault, it's another person's fault - the "other." This is the appeal of Mr. Obama.

Also, when I was writing this this morning, I was not even going to mention his race. But today in second period, I was talking about how I don't like Obama with my friend Lizzie. I never once mentioned his race. Then a girl that sits in front of me turned around and asked if I am racist. That made me so infuriated I thought I would scream. I would still vote for John McCain if he was black. (And if I was old enough to vote.) I am NOT racist in the slightest.

And since Obama supporters seem to think that McCain supporters only attack the other candidate, I going to talk about why McCain should be president. McCain, for one, should be president, because he wants to SERVE his country, instead of just 'be' president. He has a plan instead of just changing everything in the white house. He also has experience. Obama does not. Obama is 47 years old and has written two books about HIMSELF. I think we have heard enough about him. We are finally starting to win this war in Iraq and McCain knows what to do to finish it. He has had experience in war, which is crucial while the nation is at war. I could write much more, but I want people to do some research themselves.
