Thread: Can you teach me how to scream/growl?

I don't mean like in Death Metal, those kind of screams and growls.
I mean the aggressive sound like Five Finger Death Punch (please listen to them to know what I mean) and Slipknot has an aggressive one too. I like that kind of singing/scream-growling (that's what I call it) and I wanna do it too.

How do I do it?
I hit puberty long ago and my voice changed quite a bit and still is, I am 12 by the way.
So how do you do it?
Oh and what about singing like the dude from Helloween? And Rob Halford type screams? Help me with them too, please?

You'll never be able to scream properly if you're only 12.

Wait until your older, and your voice is deeper.

I don't think you can "teach" someone how to scream, I think you need a certain type of voice.
But if you don't have that type of voice, I wouldn't worry, you could always take up guitar or drums or something =]
