Thread: Can dogs scream or cry?

Yesterday when I was at this pet store this 10 or 11 year old boy dropped one of the puppies and it sounded like it was screaming or crying not howling. The noise sounded like it broke something and it makes you feel like your going to like cry because it's screaming. Do dogs scream or cry? Or was that just a loud whimper?
