Avid will translate MXF files into OP-Atom (SMPTE 290M) and export as Op1a MXF. You can also export Op1a MXF with multiple audio channels with Avid. However, when your target is transferring Avid MXF to Final Cut Pro, you may need a solution to convert MXF Op1a to FCP with 4 audio tracks or selected audio tracks you want to preserve. Here we will talk about it.

As we know, Avid works natively with MXF files but not FCP. Aunsoft TransMXF Pro for Mac is the most efficient solution to export from Op1a MXF to ProRes with multiple audio tracks. You can easily preserve and get separate audio streams. The program utilizes all cores to achieve 6X faster conversion speed. You can directly load multiple MXF from different folder and do batch conversion at once, which saves much time. Comparatively, many converters only allow user add MXF file one by one. What I must mention here is the batch conversion and "Shutdown the Computer" set are really helpful when you are dealing with large amount of files.

Another high light of TransMXF Pro for Mac is it solves audio issues when transcoding MXF Op1a to FCP X, such as audio out of sync, audio missing and audio cut-off. Only if you keep the whole file structure, the Pro can automatically load audio counterparts when you load MXF file. After Avid MXF to FCP conversion, the output format will be with audio and video in sync. No matter the Op1a MXF recorded with 2, 4, 8 or more audio tracks, the output ProRes won't loose audio tracks.

Below is a simple tutorial to help you export from MXF Op1a to MOV with 4 audio tracks for Final Cut Pro X. Else, you can turn to Aunsoft iMedia Converter for Mac.It's best audio and video conversion tool.
