Thread: Air Vent Riding Hat Suggestions...?

I'm looking to buy a new riding hat and i would like your opinions on the best air vent riding hat available- i would love a gpa speed air uni but i cant afford £260+ on a normal every day hat. My head gets very hot when i ride (even hacking) and being as summer is on its way i'd like to buy a good quality, ventilated riding hat that also looks smart enough to wear in competition.

i do hacking, dressage and jumping- also planning on taking my BHS stage 3 and PTT test this summer- so need something suitable for those too...

I had the same problem as you. I got a new helmet last summer that has an adjustable back and is pretty much all vents plus it is affordable.

I got the helmet for about $60-70 last year at a local tack shop. It says for western but I ride english and I love it. It is alot less hot as the "normal" english helmets. If you are going to show what I do is just put a velvet cover on it.

ps if you don't like that one look at the other troxel helmets they have alot of well vented ones.
